Pictures

Day after accident. Not too swollen yet.
Day 3. His most swollen day. Notice the asymmetry of his mouth

Heading to surgery.

I can't remember how many days this was after surgery. See how symmetrical that face is now!

A gift from his team!

After about 5 days of not being able to eat, they decided to put in a feeding tube. Notice the rockstar eyeliner.

DISCHARGE
Such a great feeling!
And a kiss from Mom! :)

Not sure who was happier....the boy or the dog!
Now I bet you can all see Trent in this picture!! The doctors kept saying how amazed they were at how fast he was healing! We continue to be amazed! So happy!

Dr. Griffeth. The absolute BEST. Wish we'd have gotten one of Dr. Kennedy as well.

  2. Progress in pictures! Oh Trent! You are indeed a superhero! Thank you for allowing your mom to post pictures so we can see how you progressed day by day. You had many friends sitting on the sidelines in the "cyber waiting room" praying that you would heal quickly and soon be back on your feet. Our prayer have been answered! There you are...standing straight and tall. We are all so thankful and pleased at how well you have done. Some experiences we go through are with us for the rest of our lives. I'm sure this will be one for you. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the post that says you are completely healed.

  21. What can I say from a Grandmother's and Grandfather's heart. There have been tears of sadness and tears of joy and a heart full of thankfulness for all who stood by in every way. The surgeons are so gifted, yet so reachable. Their kindness and assuring words telling what they would or could do and what they did do. Just awesome. Watching Trent change from day to day with a variance of feelings. His strength physically and spiritually an encouragement. Also seeing how weak this had made him. Elaine and Robert so caring and encouraging to him, the boys, and each other. Family and friends standing by. Jared and Byron so brave and being there. Trent will heal and it will take time. He won't like his limitations at times but he will be careful and progress with the vitality of youth. We watched his eyes, at first so swollen it was hard to see them, then as the swelling reduced and it was closer to discharge time, there was that "Trent look". We love you Trent. We are thankful we could hold your hand and give a gentle kiss once in awhile. Grandpa John and Grandma Eva

  22. Maybe don't sign off the blog permanently Elaine - It'd be nice to have word of future surgeries too. But that is only my thought! With care to you all today too, Julia
